Item description

1957 Sedan which was imported from California in 2007. I bought it in 2009 from WA. FULLY RESTORED to original except for the wheels and a 55 pearl steering wheel. I have the original steering wheel and whitewalls for it if interested. Its a 283 V8 with powerglide transmission (rebuilt approx. 1500 miles ago)I have approx. 120 receipts for work on the car and over $20K - most in the past 2-3 years Body: new chrome bumpers front and rear new chrome rockets / light surrounds / front light bar / hood bar and eyebrows new side aluminium panels all stainless either replaced for polished paint is in good condition - not show, I would rate a 7-8 out of 10. few nicks and scratches here and there. Bad point is both rear doors have sign of rust in the lower edges. I have dismantled all doors and treated with fish oil - not got any worse since I purchased the car(was like that when I bought it)R/H rear door has a few scratches on it where I scraped it along the garage door. Interior: All seats redone and are 10/10 - perfect. Door skins are good but not show - 8/10. Carpet is excellent roof lining is good- 2 marks on it but not too bad - may clean off I have never bothered. Its the original lining Dash excellent - everything works, speedo reconditioned, gauges replaced / clock works. Original wipers replaced with a raingear system 2 speed Under hood / Engine: All engine accessories replaced or reconditioned (carb / fuel pump / tank / complete cooling system incl heater / generator) Engine rebuilt approx. 1500 miles ago at a cost of over $2500. I had this engine redone to original rather than replace with a crate motor as the engine no is a very low number (one of the first ever made 283's)and thought it would make the car more valuable to keep it rather than replace the engine. plus I wanted to keep the car original.
